To commence your journey from Sydney you have two choices, either;

• take the M5 south exiting at Wilton, the Picton Road exit (Parachuting Centre is on your RHS), turn right and travel into Picton;

OR you may prefer to

• take the scenic drive by exiting at the Crossroads and travelling along Camden Valley Way through Camden and over Razorback Mountain and into Picton. A ten minute drive from the junction of Picton (ie Picton Road and Argyle Street) and you will arrive at Le Petit Palais B/B Villas.

From Picton Junction, turn left and travel:

• past the George IV Hotel on your left and Barkers Lodge Road on your right;
• under the rail viaduct;
• drive slowly up and over the hill and then take the Thirlmere Way turnoff on the right;
• travel 5km along Thirlmere Way until you get to the second roundabout;
• vere right around the roundabout and over the Thirlmere railway line;
• turn immediately left into Barbour St;
• travel along Barbour for 100m and turn right into Lake St, just as the end of the Rail Heritage Train
Museum;
• travel 1km to the top of Lake St and turn left into Michell Rd;
• travel along Michell Rd, turn left down the hill, Le Petit Palais B/B entrance is on your left.

Enter into Le Petit Palais for your warm welcome and perhaps un petit champagne!

Travelling from the South

eg Canberra, take the Colovale turnoff which is on the LHS (past Mittagong and Braemar).

Travel along this road for approximately half a km and turn right into Wilson Drive. Travel along Wilson Drive for approximately 20 minutes past the country villages of Hilltop, Balmoral, Buxton and Couridjah.

Thirlmere is the next village so look out for the sign that says Thirlmere Lakes National Park and take the next street on the LHS which is Michell Rd. Travel along Michell Rd, vere to the right, travel along and up the hill.
